6 Autumn/ Winter Lip products

We still have summer here in the UK, but we are sure that everyone out there can feel the autumn breeze kicking in. With that we have started moving towards everything which is related to autumn and for some reason this time we are excited about autumn/winter, maybe had too much of a summer?
So lets get started!!!

Karen's Picks

I love wearing this colour during autumn/winter, because my outfits in that season are quite dark, for example, my coats are usually black. Therefore, to brighten up my overall look, I like to wear this lipstick. This colour isn't too bright, but enough in my opinion and I always get compliments when I wear this :) Also, this is not drying at all, which is perfect for the cold weather!

As I have mentioned, I like to wear a brighter lip during autumn and this is another reason for choosing this lipstick. I am not yet comfortable to wear a bright red lipstick, and this is the closest shade I could wear to a shape red colour. I love this because it has a mint scent to it, which is always nice to smell haha :)

This is one of my favourite lipsticks! The pink shade of this is absolutely lovely and it is such a 'me shade'. I believe that this is an 'underdog' product, because noone ever talks about this!! However, if you are willing to invest into a high-end lip product, I would 100% recommend this! BECAUSE, first, just look at the packaging, it's so elegant and beautiful! Second, as this is a serum for the lips, it was designed to treat your lips with moisture which is amazing for all year round. Third, the product is so smooth, and it just melts onto your lips :) There are just so many good things about this, so you should really check this out next time you walk pass a Dior counter :P x

    Avneesh's Picks
Left Rimmel 128 Starry-Eyed| Middle Maybelline 540 Hollywood Red| Right Revlon Lipbutter 010 Raspberry Pie

Rimmel lasting finish lipstick- 128 Starry-Eyed
I Love this colour, it is dark, but not vampy. It is a bold colour which says "I'm Fashionable". It just adds to any outfit or make-up look. It looks lovely ith a natural eye look and even with a winged-eye liner. The pigmentation is great of these Rimmel lipsticks and it lasts well too. Unfortunately I couldn't find this colour on the boots website, you guys should check it out in store if they have it.

Maybelline colour sensational- 540 Hollywood Red
LOVE LOVE LOVE this colour, this is one of my favourite lipstick. During the colder months I wear it all the time but even for summer it is a good colour. It just brightens my face up without looking like I have put too much effort, I will say as it is, it makes me feel pretty! Pigmentation is great, lasts really well, moisturising and creamy. I think this colour will always be in my collection forever. I will repurchase it again and again! Unfortunately I couldn't find the link on boots. But they do have it in store.

Revlon colourburst lip butter- 010 Raspberry Pie
When I bought it I didn't like it at first, now I can't remember why I didn't like it. The hype about these lip butters are all worth it. This colour especially, is also my all time favourite, it is glossy as well but not sticky like a lip gloss. The pigmentation again is great and lasts so well. I apply it lightly if I want a subtle look and if I want to go bright I layer it up. Also it smells like vanilla. Absolutely love it.

We love these shades, we already know we will be wearing them like there's no tomorrow. ;)
Let us know which are your autumn/winter favourite shades! xx

Karen's review: The Body Shop ALL-IN-ONE BB CREAM

    HEY :)
Today, I'm going to review the Body Shop ALL-IN-ONE BB cream which is a colour-adopting tinted cream. I have had this for about a month now, and have featured this in my July favourite (here).

I first heard about this bb cream from Michelle Phan, which I'm sure you all know her because she's one of the most famous YouTubers! She introduced this in one of her videos and described this very briefly. However, she mentioned one thing that interested me the most, which was that this bb cream adapts to your colour... SAY WHATT? Because of this, I went to a Body Shop near where I live and checked this out.
    Before and After blending!

The bb cream comes out white at first, all most looks like a moisturiser. However, once this is blended into your skin, it turns to your skin colour - like magic! I really like this, because it will match your skin tone as most bb cream do not come in a lot of shades. Also, this is perfect for the warm weather, as it is very light coverage, so it's great when you want a little bit of makeup on :) You only need a tiny bit of the product for applying onto your entire face! Moreover, the Body Shop makeups are very affordable and reasonably priced, so I really recommend this to you.
However, if you have super-oily or really bad skin, I don't think you will like this a lot. After wearing it for a good few hours, my face tends to be a little bit shiny. But I use blotting paper during day, and it's fine :)

Let me know if you've tried this and how you think of this x

    Avneesh's Boots/drugstore Haul

    Hello there Reader ;)
So I have been kind of trying not to buy many things lately so I would save some money, but I thought I had done that for a while and just wanted to buy a few things I really wanted for a while. So lets get started!

I think you might all be wondering why I bought the Nivea men cream. Well guys I don't have a manly face, its actually for my dad. Its the Nivea Men Active Age Night Regenerator.  So if you want to give your dad's or any man a little present (accidentally reminding them that they are getting old), then this is a good buy. It was on sale so I got 2. My dad is very happy with these so I am glad.

I bought the Colgate Plax complete care alcohol free sensitive mouthwash-smooth mint a while ago and I have been loving it. As it is alcohol free it doesn't sting in the mouth, also its really lovely to use and leaves the mouth feeling clean and fresh. As I was running out of it I needed more so I got the same one and along with that I got the same one in clean mint. They were also on offer for 2 for £5 so bargain.

Lately I have been obsessed with grapefruit products, not sure why because I don't eat that much grapefruit. Also I love the face products especially face washes from Neutrogena. So I bought the Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Cream Wash. It was also on sale, so bargain bargain bargain. I also wanted to get the scrub from this range but I already have face scrubs stocked up so I resisted.

Really boring but its used everyday and I don't know what I would do without the Boots Cotton Wool Double Faced Pads. Cheap, affordable, multi-purpose and amazing. What more should I say guys? I'm sure everyone out there uses these.

Away from boring stuff on to the interesting things. Bourjous is 3 for 2 in boots at the moment and I wanted a few things from it so I took the opportunity and grabbed them. I think you can tell by now how big of a sucker I am for sale, but who isn't? So the first thing I got was the cream blush in 04 sweet cherry. I really love the colour of this blush, the formula is good too and I love the packaging, it has a little mirror inside which is very cute.

Second thing from Bourjois is the much hyped product Delice de Poudre Bronzing Powder. They have two shades, I got the darker one in 52. This product smells absolutely gorgeous and again love the packaging. It has slight shimmer but its not over powering and not noticeable when applied on the face. It doesn't make me look like a disco ball.

The third product from Bourjois's new lipstick launch which is Shine Edition lipstick in the shade 22 famous fuchsia. I checked on the boots website and they don't have this shade mentioned, I think it is shine famous on there but I am not too sure, and I don't know why they have done it either. Anyway I love this product, it is shiny, lovely pink colour. You can apply a light sweep on colour or build up the colour for a colour pop. I have used it and it lasts about 3 hours.

On Revlon they have an offer for 2 for 10 so I thought I better take this opportunity and get another Revlon lip butter. I bought the Revlon colourburst lip butter in 096 Macaroon. This is my go to product already. I absolutely love the shade, it goes perfect with my skin tone, I think anyone who has a tan or dark skin, this colour will just look amazing on them. It polishes the look instantly. It has shimmer in it but it doesn't take over, it just makes it look skiny. It lasts well on me and I love love love it!

The second this I got from Revlon is the Revlon Lash potion mascara by Grow Luscious in 001 Blackest Black. When I first used it I was like ok this is alright, but after that I absolutely started loving it, because it lengthens the lashes so well, just makes my eyes pop. Its easy to work with and I am loving it for now. The packaging is so attractive. And I am glad I bought it.

Last but not least is the Real Techniques Blush brush. As you all must have heard that the Real techniques brushes are amaaazing. I didn't have the blush brush so I thought I should grab it. Loving it so far.

This is it for my haul guys, I hope you enjoyed me talking a lott about all the products I bought. I don't regret buying any of these products and I am actually very very happy with my choices. Let us know what you guys have bought recently and how you like it xx

However, when I was ordering, I managed to get this when this was still on sale which was great :) I wanted this product so much long, ever since EssieButton mentioned this in one of her videos! From £25.00 to £20.00 (20% off)
Finally, this is a product that I ordered for my mum. She gets the occasional dry skin and I have heard that this product is really good, so I got this  :)

    Karen: Drugstore Beauty Haul

Hey ladies :) The drugstores are doing some great products at the moment which a lot of bloggers may have raved about. If you live in the UK, you'll also know that Boots is doing the offer of 3 for 2 on selected items. As I'm in Hong Kong during this summer holiday, I didn't get to enjoy that offer; however, I asked Avneesh to get me some products ;)

These items are still at Avneesh's, so they have not been opened yet and I can't do the swatches for you, sorry :/

Revlon Photo Ready Cream Brush in Coral Reed
Never owed a cream brush, and heard a lot of things about the revlon one, so I bought it :) Also, I have seen other people wearing this in their pictures, and it looks lovely on them. Although the packaging looks scarily red, it doesn't come out like that once it has been nicely blended.

Max Factor Miracle Touch Creamy Blusher in Soft Pink
Another cream blush that I wanted to try ever since it was launched. This soft pink looks great and I think it's a shade for every skin colour.

Maybelline Baby Lips in Intense Care
As mentioned in one of our posts (read here), I quite enjoy the baby lips for moisturisation. I had the blue tube one before, and I want to try this 'Intense Care' lip balm :)

    Real Techniques Fine Liner Brush
I need a new liner brush, so I got this one. There isn't much explanation as to why I wanted it haha!

    Real Techniques Core Collection
This collection contains four brushes, which are the detailer brush, contour brush, pointed foundation brush and buffing brush. I love Real Techniques' brushes; I think they are very affordable and great tools. I have heard so much about the buffing brush, which is the main reason why I wanted this :)

BarryM Gelly Nail Polishes in Prickly Pear, Grapefruit and Greenberry
Need I say more about these nail polishes? I love them and I wanted to have shades haha! We have done a blog post on these, it was our first blog post too... (Read Here)

Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick in Fushia-Ristic
I know a lot YouTubers love this product and I just want to see what the fuss is all about. I bought the shade fushia-Ristic because I don't have many lip products which is a fuschia shade!

Soap & Glory Glow All Out Luminzing Face Powder
Again, this is such a hyped up product, and I just really want to try it!

Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter Lotion
Soap and Glory's body products are known as their heavenly scents! I have their shower gel which smell soooooo GOOD! So, decided to get more of their products :)

Soap & Glory The Breakfast Body Scrub

I really can't wait to open these bad boys when I see Avneesh after summer!!!! I'm so excited to try these out :)
Hope you enjoy this post, and let me know what you think of the products x

Disappointing product- Sally Hansen - Maximum Growth

    Hey Guys,
We always want to tell you guys about good products so you don't miss out and try new things, but we also want to let you know about our bad experiences with products, so that is why this is a little negative post. We apologise for that, but we like knowing what isn't worth wasting money on and we are sure that all you beautiful people like the same.
So it is the Sally Hansen Maximum Growth Nail Treatment.

I (Avneesh) have an addiction with nail polishes, and I had been applying one after the other for a year without giving my nails any break at all. So obviously that made my nails go all bad because of which they grew less. So I wanted something which would help them grow. I did research and wanted something not so expensive, because I honestly wasn't hoping for any miracles and didn't want to waste money on something which wouldn't do wonders to my nails. So I went and bought the Sally Hansen Maximum Growth and started using it. I used it for quite a while and my nails started breaking, growing very brittle and they actually had little cracks in the middle and towards the ends. I thought it was just because I use too much nail varnish and I continued using this product thinking it might help. Then it occurred to me that its been happening since I have been using this product. So I stopped using it and switched to my normal base coat and my nails started getting better all of a sudden. So I am 100% sure it was this product which made my nails so horrible. I haven't used it for more than a month now and my nails are solid and there isn't any breaking, chipping or cracks. I don't think I will ever use this product again because I am scared to use it.

I hope this helps you guys, remember, if it didn't work for me doesn't mean it wouldn't work for you. But I just wanted to let you guys know about it so you can purchase something which would work in the right direction. :) xx

Avneesh: Favourite Lipstick and Lipgloss Combination

    Hey Guys!
I (Avneesh) have been loving this combination and products for a long time now and I really wanted to mention it. So here it is.

It is a lipstick from the Body Shop Colour glide lip colour in number 14 Pink ginger and lipgloss from Rimmel Vinyl Max in 211 Desire. I love wearing the body shop lipstick on its own as well because it is a beautiful colour, I have repurchased it 3 times so you can imagine how much I love it. It is a colour which is your lips but better for me. I layer it up for a brighter colour. Its creamy, the moisture goes away after a while but it lasts well. I love using the Rimmel lip gloss over it because their combination looks so amazing. The lipgloss smells like chocolate, looks like chocolate and I want to eat it, but it doesn't taste like chocolate so I haven't eaten it. :P Its very creamy, pigmented and just needs one sweep. The lip gloss isn't annoying sticky like most lip glosses and it doesn't feel weird on the lips. I want to check out more colours in this range because I love the formula. I think I probably will keep repurchasing the body shop lipstick. In make-up if I really like something I always like to have it.

Let us know if you have a lip products combination :) xx

    Karen: Fashion Haul

Hey :) So, I went to shopping recently, and so I decided to do a fashion haul for you all.

First, I think I should start with what I bought in the sale before. I couldn't find them on the website, so I'm really sorry if you can't get hold of them anymore :S
Got this jumper from H&M. Love the colour and thought it'd look really nice with a blouse inside :)
Again, from H&M - I love jumpers like this, because it's easy and causal which is perfect for uni!
From Zara! Such a bargain, though I can't remember how much it was on sale for. But I love blazers and I know I will wear this a lot :)

NOW into the normal clothing, which wasn't from the sale!

    From Brandy Melville

Love the brand, it has a lot cute small graphics! They were gifts from my sister when she went to New York. I have been wearing these two to death and they look really nice with high-wiasted jeans or skirts :) I managed to find the white graphic on the website (here), however, I couldn't find the black one which was all over tumblr like a month ago haha! I wish we will have a Brandy Melville store in the UK soon!

    From H&M
I never owned denim  jacket, and saw this cute one, so I bought it :)
I am a sucker when it comes to flats with bows on them! These ballet pumps were too cute to just leave them in the store! They have more colours and they are currently on sale, so go and get your pair!
I purchased this just a few days ago, but I couldn't find it on the website :/ But anyway, I thought this black dress can be dressed up or down :)

    From Stradivarius
The brand isn't available in the UK, but is available in other countries according to the website. So, I'm really sorry if you can't get these items :/

I have been looking for brown boots like these for ages, as my old ones are getting a bit old. I like that they are really simple and hasn't got any bold details on them! (here

Yes, another jumper haha... this is really nice because it's quite tight, so it really shows off your figure in a good way :) (here)

    From Pull&Bear
Love these wedges, they are very comfortable and causal :) Also, they are not too high, so I can wear them a lot during the summer with dresses! (here)

    From Bershka
As you can tell, I am a shoes whore! I have a lot of shoes, and I love buying shoes, especially flats! And these ones are very casual and simple looking which I thought would be good for uni :) (here)

    From Converse
Sorry for the dirty Converse, it shows I have been wearing them haha :) I was influenced by the pictures tumblr to get these... and I love wearing them! (here)
    From Topshop
Sorry, for the background of this photo... It was taken on the train because I really wanted to whatsapp this to my friend when I bought it! It is my first midi-ring and it has the letter 'K' on it! I thought it was nice and personal :) (here)

Hope you enjoyed this haul, and that I didn't bore you :/ Let me know if you like fashion posts, so I'll know if I should continue doing them :) x
