Top 8 Summer Lip Products

Hey girls :) Today, we will be showing you four lip products each, which we find we have been using continuously during this hot summer! Hope you will enjoy reading this :) x

Avneesh's Picks
These are the 4 lip products which have been my go-to this summer. They are not in any particular order of favourites and I love different things about each of them. :)

L'Oreal Glamshine stain splash 101 Lolita
I love how this lip colour gives my lips a natural look, its also not very sticky. However I don't like the formula much because it just gives a weird feeling on my lips, but I don't mind it much, however it does dry my lips sometimes. It feels very light on the lips. The pigmentation of the colour I have isn't great but I think its just the colour. However it isn't a stain because it doesn't last long.

I really wanted this lip-gloss but I thought all of them had sparkles in them which I am not a huge fan of. This being expensive I wanted a colour which I could wear in any season. When I went to the Dior counter they had enormous number of colours which were all so lovely. I love this colour and it isn't very sticky. It doesn't have any smell at all. The pigmentation is great, it lasts long and the packaging is pretty.

This is a very summery colour, and it does have silver sparkles in it but they are not over powering. It lasts well it has a slight vanilla smell but it just goes away when I apply it. It brightens my face up and I like to use it on bright summer days.

This has been my go-to for a while now. I will definitely be buying more colours in it because its moisturising, easy to apply, lasts well and a very wearable colour. It has a minty smell which I don't mind but some people might not like it. It is a twist up so there is no worry about sharpening. It is one of my favourite drugstore products.

Here is a picture of how they look on my lips :)

Karen's Picks
After reading Avneesh's recommendations, it's time to hear about mine :) Also, I'm sorry that I can't show you how they look on my lips, because my lips are so dry (sunburnt) right now, so I don't want to dry them out even more by reapplying four different lip products :/ But I have done swatches on my hand, hope you won't mind :P

This lipstick has been talked about by a lot of Youtubers, I know that Zoella wears it quite often in her videos. I, personally, have a love-hate relationship with this product. I love the shade, and the lipstick is ridiculously creamy which I love! However, when I was wearing this in the UK, it dried my lips and it was pretty annoying! Luckily, this does not apply to me anymore- I don't know if it is because I'm in Hong Kong now, or what, but I love how this looks on me :)

I feel like this product is an underdog product, because I don't hear a lot people talk about this! This is basically a lip cream which is SO pigmented and it lasts for about 4-5 hours!! It smells lovely too :) This is such a fun colour for summer! I wish Collection has brought out more shades as it only has four at the moment :/

I'm sure all of you know how amazing these Revlon lipsticks are!! I particularly like this shade when I want a casual look during summer. I think this is like a 'your lips but better' with a bit of red undertone to it which will suit a lot different skin tone :)

I have put this lipstick to the last, not because I don't like it as much as the others, but it's because this may not be available worldwide. I got this at an Etude House store in Hong Kong, which is a Korean brand. So, I'm so sorry if you can't get this at your country :/ Anyway, it's a bright pink shade which is lovely for summer :) Also, the packaging of these lipsticks are just so beautiful!!

So, here are our 8 summer lip products! Are any of them your summer lip products too? Let us know :) x

Avneesh's July Favourites

Hello Beautifuls, July was a hot month and because of that I wasn't using much makeup, as it would just melt off on me. But I did have 6 things which I absolutely loved in July.
Maybelline Rocket Volume Express Waterproof Mascara
I don't usually use waterproof mascara but as it is summer and so hot, I needed something which wouldn't make me look like a ghost. It gives great volume and length, and just makes my lashes look really amazing. And it is worth every hype it has been getting!!!

Clinique Gel Liner in 02 True Black
This isn't a new find as I bought it in January, but I kind of got over it and stopped using it. I have rediscovered it now and I love how it looks on my eyes. It's not the easiest thing to apply, but once you get used to it, it's great. It can smudge so I just have to be a little careful with it throughout the day.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer

I have tried quite a few drugstore concealers but I haven't loved any of them or bought them again, but this one is my favourite and I will definitely buy it again. I just using it under my eyes. I have been wearing this, the rocket volume mascara and just some lipstick during the hot days and I love the look. It glides on perfectly, doesn't crease much and isn't cakey at all.

L'Oreal Absolute Make-Up Remover

This is the waterproof version, they also have the normal version which looks the same so don't be mistaken guys. This is my second bottle and I love it. It is suitable for sensitive eyes which is perfect for me. Let's just say it is a great make-up remover and easy to use. When I use it to remove the make-up off my lips it doesn't dry my lips and I simply love it.

Boots Coconut and Almond Body Butter

First of all it smells amazing. It is hydrating and the smell lingers on which I like. You can say it is the cheaper version of the body shop body butters. The texture of this isn't as thick as the body shop ones but i just really like this. They have other 'flavours' too so I will definitely be going and buying more of these.

BarryM Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Polish in Satsuma

I have been wearing it on my toe nails for about 2 weeks now and I love it. We have done a blog post on it so you guys can check it out here.

Hope you guys enjoyed reading that, and let us know what your July favourites were!

Karen's July Favourites

WHAT? It's August already? I can't believe either, seriously, where did July go? Now, we are more than half way through the year :/ But anyway, it's time for my favourites from July :)

Middle: Before blending     Right: After blending
The idea of this bb cream fascinates me, as it come out as a white cream, and when it is blended on your skin, it changes to your skin tone. It is a colour adopting tinted cream, which is suitable for every skin colour. Also, this has a really light coverage, almost like a tinted moisturiser, which I love to use during summer. However, I would not recommend this to people who have oily skin because it can sometimes make your face looks shiny.

As mentioned above, the Body Shop bb cream can look a bit oily, so I have been putting powder to set my make-up and to take the extra shine away. This is in translucent, which is great as it avoids the look of too much make-up. I believe good drugstore versions of this are the Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blot and Rimmel Stay Matte.

During the last month, I have been lazy with eye shadows and eye liner. The eyelashes basically played a big role on my eyes! Therefore, I have to make sure that they are all curly and nice. The Shu Uemera eyelash curlers are well-known to deliver beautiful curly lashes, and I cannot agree more!

Maybelline Baby Lips in Quenched/Hydrate
Before the Baby Lips were launched in the UK, I asked my sister to get me this from New York. It is nice, hydrating, smells great, and cheap! Seriously can't think of any disadvantages! So excited to see these in the UK drugstore and purchase more!

L'Oreal Colour Riche Caresse in 174 Rose Taffeta

Another lip product my sister got me from New York. I have never seen this in the UK, but the packaging looks lovely. The gold packaging kind of reminds me of the YSL lipsticks which are SO pretty! Anyway, I love using this lipstick as it does not dry my lips and the shade is really natural which I can use on a daily basis during summer :)

I love the scent from the DAISY MARC JACOBS range, it just smells like summer! Instead of carrying a bottle of perfume around, I got given this rollerball from my sister, which is so easy to take out. What more can I say? Rollerballs are like the best inventions ever!

SO, here are my favourites! Let us know what yours were, and if you have tried any of the products mentioned above :) Have a nice day guys :D

Review: Bioderma + L'Oreal Skin Perfection - Worth the Hype?

Hey cuties :D

We're sure you have all heard of Bioderma. There was a HUGE hype about this product about a year ago (or more!). At first, this could only be purchased in French drugstore, however, now we can get this baby online!  Our job today is to discuss whether this is worth all the hype that has been going around!

Bioderma Sensibio H2O
This product claims that it "cleanses, removes make-up, soothes". This description from Bioderma is not an exaggeration! It does its job perfectly well! We love the fact that this is fragrance free as we are really picky with scents. Also, we find that it does not dry out our skin like a lot of make up remover, which is great! It's really amazing how this little product is so useful.
You can get this on amazon, or on escentual.com! And if you live in France, you are really lucky that you can just buy this in your local drugstore :D

However, for more a budget buy, you can try L'Oreal Paris Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution (what a name!) This product claims that it dissolves make-up, unclogs pores and tones skin. We find that this doesn't remove waterproof makeup very well, however, it is a good product for removing make-up on the lips.
L'Oreal Skin Perfection
We like to use this for toning! It is a great toner and doesn't dry our skin as all. It doesn't irritate the skin which we love. In additional, the price is very reasonable :)

Overall, we believe that Bioderma is really worth the hype on the blogging and YouTube world! Although, the L'Oreal one is not quite the same as Bioderma, it's the closest dupe we could find in the drugstore!

Thank you for reading, if you have any question, you are welcome to ask in the comments! Also, let us know what's your favourite make-up remover/cleanser!
